In our third issue, we wanted to continue pushing beyond simply sharing inspiring stories and photography. As much as we love reading about life-altering trips to dream destinations, our goal was to broaden the scope of themes and diversity of voices we published in print. And we hoped to engage our audience in a way that provided opportunities for learning and reflecting.
How does understanding a place’s past enrich the experience of travel and travelers themselves? What’s the real value of a long-term bike trip, and is it possible to extract that same value from something much shorter? How does the way we interact with places as bikepackers differ from the way other communities experience those same spaces?
