Issued to mark the ninetieth anniversary of Cassina, one of the most progressive and prestigious furniture makers in the world, this pioneering monograph explores concepts of living through the creation of five unique, ideal interiors around the world curated by Felix Burrichter.
Lavishly illustrated, this book showcases the luxury brand furniture makers, one of the leading authorities on contemporary living style. This monograph is divided into two sections. The first part examines questions of evolving tastes and dynamics of contemporary lifestyles around the globe. Five distinct interiors are proposed, differentiated by style, material, and geographic area of origin. To help define these concepts are leading figures from the international design world, including Arno Brandlhuber, Beatriz Colomina, Konstantin Grcic, Zhao Yang, and Martti Kalliala.
The second part of the book takes a more visual approach, in which the five different building types are presented through a photographic panorama realized on site in various locations such as Spain, Sicily, and Lake Como. These different living environments—“Artful Living,” “Together Forever,” “Back to the Roots,” “Bedtime,” and “Playground”—are furnished throughout with beautiful pieces from Cassina.
