BÄSTA FILM
REGI, MANUS, HUVUDROLL

Mirror

The film’s many layers intertwine real life and family relationships – Tarkovsky’s father, the poet Arseny Tarkovsky, reads his own poems on the soundtrack and Tarkovsky’s mother appears as […]

BlackkKlansman (Blu-Ray)
Spike Lee’s hugely enjoyable and politically timely film uses this unbelievable case to lift a lid on racism in America, both past and present. It’s frequently hilarious, particularly in highlighting the idiocy of the Klan, but never misses a moment to comment on racial inequality. Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) was a black Colorado […]

Multiple Maniacs (Blu-Ray)
The gloriously grotesque second feature directed by John Waters (Hairspray) is replete with all manner of depravity, from robbery to murder to one of cinema’s most memorably blasphemous moments. Made on a shoestring budget in Waters’ native Baltimore, with the filmmaker taking on nearly every technical task, this gleeful mockery of the peace-and-love ethos of […]
