More than ever, we need to learn again to think outside the box. Not to blindly accept boundaries, but to question them with a healthy curiosity. The boring completion of tasks will increasingly be taken over by algorithms. At some point, we won’t need to do the things that AI can do better, but we will always need imagination and free, creative thinking. The ability to fantasize could become a key skill of the future. It can be an advantage in novel problem solving and creative solutions. Therefore, we want to explore the concept of fantasy. We want to understand what imaginations inspire us at the moment and allow us to solve problems. In this issue of Fräulein, we want to see how fantasy can shape our future.
