Leviatan har fått sitt namn efter sjöodjuret i Bibeln och berättar historien om den lilla människan och den stora maktlösheten. Och det med sådan styrka att filmen piskat upp en hetsig debatt i hemlandet….

I en glänta i skogen har jordens alla djur samlats till en sjusjungande fest. Rovdjur och växtätare, stora djur och små. Näktergalen hämtar elefanten och aporna, kängurun och koalan och de andra djuren. Koalan vill hoppa som en känguru, isbjörnen får hjälp att hitta hem av en blåval och flodhästen lyckas rymma från zoo.
