MacGuffin is a new and unusual design & crafts magazine. It features fabulous stories about the life of ordinary, often anonymously designed things. Each biannual edition takes an object and explores the manifold stories it generates. Like the MacGuffins in Hitchcock films, these things are not the main characters, but the plot devices that set the story in motion.
In this issue:
MacGuffin 7 – The Trousers | Dress up this spring with The Trousers of MacGuffin, dedicated to an object that is so much more than a garment: it’s a mirror of desires and passions far beyond reason. In ‘The Trousers’, MacGuffin empties the wardrobe and slips into survival gear, baggies with attitude, working uniforms, drainpipes, cargo shorts, laced-fly jeans, sexless saggy sack cloths, tent slacks, yoga leggings and bad-boy trousers. The burning question of course is: are pants really all about ass?
Featuring Umberto Eco, Paul Gorman, Emily King, Gert Jonkers, Karlheinz Weinberger, Emma McClendon and many many more.
