Present Space is a multimedia publication by creative director Nima Habibzadeh. Present Space takes the form of a carefully-curated book of articles, interviews and features in collaboration with artists, designers, directors and photographers around the theme ‘exits + entrances’. Present Space brings together a community of creatives who use storytelling and art to ignite conversations related to social and political issues in the world we live in across fashion, art, music and film.

In this issue:

Present Space introduces SOUND, its sixth print issue. Published and designed by AMILE, with creative direction from Present Space’s Nima Habibzadeh and Juan Duque, SOUND is the exploration of instruments, music, voices, and their influences across cultures, eras and geographies.

Investigating the many types of SOUND, Print Six showcases 23 stories across art, culture, film, history, mythology, fashion and photography, celebrating the global reach of artists whose roots stem far beyond London, Los Angeles, and Latin America.

Through interviews, long-form cultural and research essays, and fashion features, SOUND explores the many notions that arise from it. This includes interviews with and the visual documentation of cover stars American rapper Kid Cudi shot by Louisa Meng, model and advocate Paloma Elsesser in conversation with Dogi Nesanir and shot by Pegah Farahmand, Isabel Marant’s Creative Director Kim Bekker in conversation with Mathilda Gvarliani shot by Sonia Szóstak, and Spanish singer Bad Gyal in conversation with producer Cromo X,  as well as fashion features with iconic models such as Lina Zhang shot by Marc Hibbert and rising stars such as Thea Amqvist shot by Diego Vourakis.

Additional features include: James William Blades, the Georgia O’Keeffe Home, Oliver Hermanus, Cristina Iglesias, Susan Philipsz, Sonny Rollins, and Constance Tsang in conversation with Leonardo Van Dijl, with photography by Bastian Achard, Ricky Alvarez, David William Baum, Jack Bool, Javier Castán, Pablo Escudero, Lucrezia Ganazzoli, Julien T. Hamon, Matt Kelly, Matthias Leidinger, Kito Muñoz, Arale Reartes, Eduard Sánchez Ribot, Priscillia Saada, and Tom Silvester.
