Rucksack Magazine is an online journal and printed bi-annual publication. We celebrate visual storytelling and are driven by our passion for adventure and photography. We began in 2016 as an online journal and have recently printed our second volume of Rucksack Magazine; The Journey Issue. Our online journal is divided into stories, photo essays, photographer interviews and brand features. We work as a platform for new and emerging photographers and writers, connecting a global community of creative storytellers. Our brand has no limits, no boundaries; it is there for those with a thirst for adventure, those who want to create something new, something exciting. It is there to inspire, to excite and to mesmerise.
In this issue:
The stories in this issue celebrate exploration, discovery, and adventure. We venture across the brutal winter landscapes of Iceland on an expedition with a Land Rover Defender, explore the mountains of Madeira and Porto Santo, and travel through the European wilderness in a vintage Toyota Land Cruiser. Alongside this, we celebrate Danner, Leica, and Snow Peak; brands that have all played a significant part in our own exploration over the years. We hope these pages inspire you to seek your own adventure, wherever in the world you may be.
