This is in our humble opinion the best tattoo mag in the world, precisely because it doesn’t look like a tattoo magazine. It instead positions itself as an object of art and a canvas with tattoos being the medium. As a result, tattoos transform in print into the creative expression of body art that they are. By rejecting the usual stereotypes, Sang Bleu uses fashion, sociology and literature in the context of tattooing, body modification, fetish and other subcultures to create a carefully composed image of modern urban societies and individuals.
