Sidetracked Volume 35 presents a new collection of stories from the world’s wild places. Sometimes the moment of surrender to the journey is when things fall into place. Beyond this point is where the most interesting stories can be found.
Among the stories in this volume, Georgia Danielson and friends fastpack the Cordillera Huayhuash, going deep into commitment and learning the true value of interdependence. Jan Vincent Kleine continues his epic journey across Norway with the sled dog Trojka in ‘The Stories of Our Lives’. Florian Guiller, packrafting New Zealand, comes to a realisation: ‘In this contrast, this oscillation between effort and wonder, resides the very essence of what I seek in adventure.’
