Stockholm Girls is a collection of photographs taken during 2019 and 2020 by Philippa Parnevik. Growing up in Jupiter, Florida, Philippa got used to the idea of herself as a typical Swedish girl from an early age. Not least through the affirmation of Americans around her. With the project Stockholm Girls, Philippa questions the identity of this archetype and a new understanding gradually emerges. These photographs aim to collect this new realization, or the true essence of the Stockholm girl.
