Stockholm Street Colours

For five years I have taken pictures on the streets of Stockholm with my eyes fixed on people, colour, shadows and architecture. I try to capture moments that not only have interesting colour combinations but also juxtapositions that could be perceived as absurd. Moments that make the city and everyday life unlikely and interesting.

Stockholm is known to be a cold and dark city most of the year. With my pictures I want to show the opposite – people, colours and moments that give life and depth to Stockholm.

This book is a personal journey into the streets of Stockholm that could be characterised by a search for emotional release. I never feel as free as when I take pictures, when I am present and open to my surroundings exploring Stockholm’s identity and at the same time my own.
