The Jungle Journal, Issue 2

The Jungle Journal is a space where you can move to different parts of the world without having to leave your doorstep. Where you can expand your knowledge about global issues through the lived experiences of everyday people around the world. It is also a space dedicated to education and awareness where we are always trying to maintain a human and personal touch.

Through sharing stories and conversations from the people we meet abroad, we aim to celebrate the ancient wisdoms, life, and traditions of many cultures.

In this multimedia platform we will provide content that spans around travel, culture, and the environment.

Our content is divided into social networks, audio-visual content and our paper edition: the Journal.

We hope to inspire more connection by celebrating diversity.

In our second volume featuring East Africa we will travel to countries like Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

We’ll bring readers an important message from a Maasai chief, discover a female led organization empowering local women in the Bwindi Forest, learn more about the South Asian diaspora into this region through a special interview, analyze the impacts of droughts on local populations and we will investigate the controversy around the conservation of an endangered species: the mountain gorilla.
