“As another digital Men’s Fashion Week ended, I was absolutely bowled over with wonder at how designers and creatives achieved such inspirational moments. Each one rose to the new virtual challenges and turned up their creative expression. It illustrates how our industry, and the creatives within it, have been able to pivot.

Designers gave us more than we could have imagined, in terms of high voltage creativity. They made virtual worlds and took us on a magical journey that inspired the ‘Bold and Beautiful’ theme of the issue. The season’s new over-sized silhouettes and exaggerated shapes became my fixation. My joy at seeing these bold statements appear in collection after collection, made me want to give all our contributors a platform to celebrate this new OTT aesthetic.

After eighteen months of virtual shows, lockdowns and Covid, the message is clear; the pared down trend has evaporated and been replaced by exuberant, magical fantasy and beauty. The new season is a celebration of individualism and the need to dress up and flirt with the world in your extraordinary fashions.

This issue celebrates the beginning of a new, more positive time, signified by an explosion of creativity and limitless possibility. I hope you find the bold and beautiful in your everyday life and celebrate it, always.”
