About is a new architecture publication, halfway between a magazine and a book, designed to become a point of reference in the sector. An ecosystem that unites paper, digital and events, designed for a global community of architects, designers and professionals . Through essays, projects, visual storytelling and data, architecture becomes an open field, in dialogue with other disciplines. About proposes itself as a space for discussion and innovation for those who live and design the world through architecture.
In this issue:
Reuse as a cultural stance, a design method, and a political act: the third issue of ABOUT:, Radical Reuse, starts from this position. Working with what already exists means recognizing value in matter, energy, traces, layers, imperfections, and ruins — and extending the life of things.
Bringing together 90 mapped projects and 15 selected case studies exploring reuse across scales and geographies, from interiors and buildings to infrastructures and territories, the issue opens with five theoretical contributions by Jeanne Gang, Abdulrahman and Turki Gazzaz of Bricklab, Tullia Iori, Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, and Muck Petzet.
Together, they frame reuse not as a minor practice, but as a way to rethink growth, beauty, and innovation.
