American Trails, No.12 – The Road Trip Issue

Road trip, taste the word, surely you want to go? In this issue, we make three road trips: one on a bike along Highway 1 in California, one from San Francisco through Yosemite National Park, and over the pass to Mono Lake and the ghost town of Bodie. The third is just the beginning of a long road trip through classic cowboy country. It will be South and North Dakota here, but it continues in the next issue to Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. You have to keep your cowboy hat on and go along. But of course, we have dive bars and a deep dive into Alabama’s food traditions – no, it’s not just bbq and fried food.
