Apartamento, Issue 17
An everyday life interiors magazine.
The masthead on every issue of Apartamento reads ‘an everyday interiors magazine’ After reading it from cover to cover, one discovers that it is exactly that. There is nothing pretentious about this beautifully produced publication. The images and stories portray the featured homes and apartments in a completely natural way, whilst avoiding even the slightest hint of contrivance. In the words of the deputy editor and one of the founders of Apartamento, Marco Velerdi, ‘We will not show tidy interiors because they do not exist outside your mother’s imagination.’ How can you not love that sentiment?
Apartamento is based both in Milan and Barcelona, and comes out twice a year.
In this issue:
The new issue features: Martha Stewart, Jason Schwartzman & Brady Cunningham, Petra Collins, Abdul Mati Klarwein, Kathy Ryan, Javier Perés’ African Art, The Spectrum, Johann & Lena König, Antonioni’s Costa Paradiso, Karley Sciortino, Raphaël Zarka, Liam Gillick, Victoire de Castellane & Thomas Lenthal, Klaus Biesenbach. Plus: a conversation on Modern craft, Furniture Romance by Kathy Ryan, and Spectrum Montrose Ave by Wolfgang Tillmans.
The cover features a painting by Abdul Mati Klarwein.
