Arkitektur has been a forum for debate on the art of building and a showcase for new architecture in Sweden since 1901. It has also become the foremost source of inspiration and information in Scandinavia for everyone with a professional interest in architecture and building. Swedish architecture is naturally our main focus. But Arkitektur also follows developments on the international scene, offering points of view, reactions to trends, and presenting the most important architects and their work.
There are fewer clear lines between architecture, interiors, landscape, design and other art forms today than ever before. One of the exciting goals at Arkitektur is to mirror this change and allow different art forms to interact with one another.
Reader surveys show that almost all of Swedens architects read Arkitektur. Beyond that, our readership includes at least as many professionals in the building-related fields, politicians, property managers, engineers and entrepreneurs. Arkitektur holds, as a result, a unique and independent place among the vast flora of periodical building publications.
