For 44 years, i-D has been a defining voice in fashion, identity, ideas, and culture. Our distinct covers have showcased over 300 icons, and we’ve helped launch the careers of some of the most influential talent in the world. Now, in 2025 we’re reinventing ourselves once again, using our guiding value: originate – don’t imitate. For the first cover of i-D’s new era, we will tell a story that no other magazine can, by featuring a cover star who’s not a star (yet!)
In this issue:
i-D celebrates mothers, mother figures, motherlovers, and everyone else responsible for making us who we are today with “The Mother Issue” for Fall 2026.
For her seventh i-D cover, Gisele Bündchen invites us home to Miami. Thirty years after becoming one of the most famous models on earth, she’s more interested in being mum than supermodel. Gisele discusses raising her children, having another baby at 46, leaving the fashion rat race behind, and learning to find the extraordinary in ordinary life with i-D’s Steff Yotka. Photographed by Collier Schorr and styled by Clare Byrne.
Elsewhere, Slayyyter and Sophie Thatcher step into the spotlight, John Glacier and Diya Joukani get personal, and two tee-making icons share secrets.
Also insi-De: Amanda Lepore, Jake’s, Glaive, Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, Post Archive Faction, Je Suis Manon, and the winner of our writing competition on what happens when aliens invade Earth.
