Kadens Journal, Issue 1
Release date: June 16, 2026
Kadens Journal is an independent Nordic magazine exploring the intersection of endurance sport and culture through long-form storytelling, photography, and design. Rooted in movement, culture, and time, the magazine examines the people, places, and ideas that shape contemporary endurance life.
The inaugural issue moves through the worlds of running, trail running, Nordic skiing, and long-distance movement through stories of athletes, creators, communities, and the landscapes that shape them. Through reportage, essays, profiles, and photography, Kadens examines endurance not only as sport, but as culture, identity, and a way of life.
Featured stories include Whispers of Lapland, Nekrotrail, Above the Noise, and The Race Built by the Forest, alongside conversations with athletes, artists, and creators including Andreas Almgren, Patrick Stangbye, Jakob Åberg, and Sigve Knutson, as well as essays exploring movement, identity, creativity, and the philosophy behind endurance.
