Meaning, Issue 1
Why did we decide on a new Slow Lifestyle / Intentional Living Magazine.
Our aim was and is to have a magazine that gets you in the mood of pausing for a moment, escaping within, finding calm and focusing on the beautiful world of art, poetry, performance, literature, slow fashion & living, sustainability, and connection.
For a while, we tried to find this in the magazines which are already offered in the market. But, while the headlines are great, once you open the magazine and read through, it’s like you get hit by hundreds of colors, type forms, keywords, unnecessary and too much info.
We felt there was stimulus overwhelm after a couple of minutes; instead of calming us down, the experience even became stressful.
Moreover, once you go through a dozen of the magazines, you can quickly identify that most topics are just recycled or copied from one another.
We respect all these publications, don’t get us wrong. We love print and we love to see our peers flourishing and giving their readers something beautiful.
We decided to take another route and aim to have the reader take a moment to read, enjoy and feel a bit of a calm escape.
We still have a long way to go, but we hope, with your collaboration, we can share something beautiful with our readers together
