Secret Trips is a collective of writers, photographers, stylists and fashion designers, all of whom grew up criss-crossing the world with dog-eared guide books stuffed into our backpacks.
Thirty years on, we’re all still avid travellers, and while we may like things a little more luxurious these days, we still seek out places with the same spirit: under-the-radar destinations, independent hotels, local restaurants. Collectively, our work has taken us all over the globe to all kinds of amazing places where we’ve met all kinds of amazing people.
Now, we’re asking them to share with us the places they’ve loved: the secret spots and hidden gems, hideaway hotels and off-the-beaten-track beaches. Places that they love, and we love, and we think you’ll love too.
In this issue, Secret Trips takes a different approach to the FIFA World Cup 2026, using the tournament as a lens through which to explore some of North America’s most exciting cities and cultural stories. From insider guides to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto and Mexico City, to Antoni Porowski’s tour of James Dean’s former New York apartment, the issue offers a fresh perspective on the places hosting the world’s biggest sporting event.
