Founded in 2009 by James Oliver, best known for his involvement in launching and developing SLAMXHYPE, a groundbreaking online resource for street culture – At the helm of The New Order the aim and vision is to progress the evolution and commentary on subculture by drawing on a mantra formulated around a dedication to advancement and originality = True modernism. Within his role as publisher and editorial director for the magazine, James has brought together a host of renowned contributors from all over the globe, while himself being based in Tokyo and working with an established and committed creative team in the Tokyo metropolis.

Together with VIA PIAVE 33 we have created a special cove for THE NEW ORDER issue 34. Photographed by James Oliver in Tokyo, besides this limited edition cover we have taken a comprehensive look at the Italian labels spring/summer 2025 collection. In addition we stopped by the VIA PIAVE 33 atelier in Milan to get a real insight into the day to day working of Alessandro Spaggiara and Elisa Bettella, the mastermind behind the label.

Amongst the stand out features in this issue include young and upcoming Italian label VIA PIAVE 33, a label we need to pay attention in the coming years. In addition we take a look at the spring/summer collection of SK MANOR HILL and LQQK STUDIO, while the documentary style of he LIBERAIDERS spring/summer collection makes for another strong showing from the Japanese label. We visited ceramicist Steve Harrison at his atelier which makes for a compelling think piece. Detroit based HITECH, London based JACKLYN and Portuguese LON3R JOHNY add to the musical talent we have featured in the past. In addition we have put together various fashion editorials in various cities around the world.
