The New York Trilogy
Release date: April 25, 2025
A thrilling graphic adaptation of the cross-genre masterpiece from the late, great Paul Auster – a further exploration of the possibilities of fiction. From its iconic opening, The New York Trilogy famously blurred the lines between postmodern literature and noir fiction. Now, for the first time, all three books have been adapted for this landmark graphic novel, each by a different artist, and all overseen by Paul Auster before his death.
City of Glass was first adapted as a graphic novel by Karasik & Mazzuchelli in 1994. Published in the UK in 2005 – it has reprinted 25 times, total sales of over 28,000 copies and was named one of ‘the 100 Most Important Comics of the Century’.
One year on form his death, a visual and creative celebration of the most famous book by one of our most iconic authors – fans of Auster and the NYT include cartoonists Art Spiegelman, Chris Ware, Dan Clowes, Adrian Tomine, and writers Don DeLillo, Ian McEwan and Peter Carey.
