In this issue:
This expanded issue for October 2026 marks the magazine’s 30th anniversary in print. To celebrate, Wallpaper* welcomes English stage designer and self-described ‘everythingist’ Es Devlin, London-based streetwear brand Palace Skateboards co-founders Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis, and American artist Carrie Mae Weems as guest editors. Expect Wallpaper*’s usual blend of fashion and lifestyle content—with a twist.
Inside, Es Devlin guides readers through her multidisciplinary design world with a showcase of her practice spanning theatre, sculpture, and performance, featuring a concertina style fold-out of her projects ‘Mask’ (2018) at London’s Somerset House and ‘Library of Us’ (2025) at Faena Beach in Florida. Elsewhere, Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis introduce members of the Palace community—an eclectic group, representative of the brand’s ‘come one, come all spirit’—including interviews with the likes of designer Ben Drury, musician Bonnie Prince Billy, and singer-songwriter Sophia Stel. Plus, Carrie Mae Weems presents a portfolio of art—drawing on her own archive and the archives of others who have influenced her practice over the years—printed on unvarnished paper reminiscent of newsprint in an homage to the famous 1988 New York Timessupplement ‘Inserts’, of which she was a contributor.
