Sandwich is written as a celebration of the often overlooked, but universally beloved culinary creation, the sandwich. Our second issue pays homage to one of our favorites, the Banh Mi. This issue explores the complicated history of the sandwich, dives into the political iconography of Spam, and the search for Maggi sauce in Saigon. This magazine is our gift to sandwich lovers everywhere.

The Brisket Issue features fiction from Will Self, music from Seth Troxler, a visit to the millenia-old traditions of gathering salt in the Bay of Biscay, a dream barbecue featuring Jake Chapman, Ashnikko, Shruti Haasan, Thundercat and Irvine Welsh as guests, a look at hip-hop beefs actually being baloney, the massive amounts of bread we waste in the UK (24 million slices a day!) and a cover profile with DJ BBQ.
