The Greatest is the ultimate free man.
The idealist who creates, chases his dreams, and makes himself aware. The aesthete who’s entitled to pick and choose his collection of clothes in his pursuit of Beauty.
The independent man of his time who won’t let his time enslave him. The storyteller who documents the history and tells the story of men’s contemporary fashion through words, art, and photography. The dreamer who seeks, explores, and searches out of curiosity, necessity, and nature. Smart, mannerly, and sophisticated.
He offers his point of view unapologetically and unpretentiously. The Greatest is nothing but a soul wandering around the world wearing what he feels.
In this issue:
Dion Lee, founder and artistic director of the eponymous brand, is just one of the creatives who’ve helped shape The Greatest #21, reflecting on the concept of ‘fragility’. Discover our interviews with Grace Wales Bonner, Aka7even, Francis Kurkdjian, and many more on The Greatest #21 – The Fragility Issue.
For The Greatest #21, we asked creatives by the likes of Grace Wales Bonner, Aka7even and Francis Kurkdjian to put their definition of ‘fragility’ into words. ‘I live downtown, and it was an incredible time to experience New York during the pandemic. A city that’s normally so full of energy and life to become empty and still was extremely surreal to experience. There was definitely a sense of fragility in the air at that time. I drew a lot of inspiration from what was happening during the pandemic; a desire for optimism and experience that was no longer possible’, Dion Lee, creative director of his namesake brand, told us at The Greatest Magazine. The Fragility Issue features our conversations with Dion Lee, Grace Wales Bonner, Lawrence Steele, Thebe Magugu, Aka7even, Nu Genea, Francis Kurkdjian, and Roberto Ruspoli, as well as exclusive photo shoots lensed by Alexandre Haefeli, Nicolò Parsenziani, Brian Daly, Carlotta Manaigo, Fanny Latour-Lambert, Kevin Rashid Giaquinto, Jack Johnstone, James Robjant, Alessandro Mannelli, Marina Adam, Thomas Cooksey, Valentin Hennequin and Eugenio Intini.
